How Your Donations Make an Impact

  • Increase Outreach Efforts

Your donations help us reach more physicians. We can purchase more promotional materials like brochures and magnets to spread the word. They also help us staff our team so we can spend time reaching out to hospitals and private practices.

  • Support Event Initiatives

Through generous donors like you we can host events for physicians and their loved ones where they can connect with one another. Your donations also help us secure Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits for our programming which supports physicians and incentivizes registration.

  • Support NPWC Programming

Donations keep our programming running. Through your donations, we can fund an expert speaker to address physicians or offer an additional Grief and Loss session. More than just education, our programming provides connection and community

It’s time we cared for our care givers.

Nevada’s physicians and physician communities are living in an urgent reality.

  • The #1 cause of death today among medical trainees is suicide. Suicide rates are increasing in our medical student and physicians. Approximately 400 MD/DO’s commit suicide each year, which is 4 times the national average.

  • The 2020 Medscape National Physician Burnout & Suicide Report states that this year 42% of physicians reported they are burned out.

  • Nevada ranks 48th out of 50 for Board Certified physicians (MD’s and DO’s) per 100,000 people, yet Nevada’s population has one of the highest growth in the nation.

“I had no idea he was suffering so much...

I wish there was somewhere he could have gone for help...”

— Spouse of an MD that died by suicide

Don’t let physicians suffer in silence.

Physicians do not self-report burnout for fear of reprisal from employers and licensure bodies. Despite the availability of ‘physician wellness committees’ and employee assistance programs—physician burnout and other work- related mental health disorders continue to increase.
