We talk a lot about physician burnout. But what if some of what physicians are experiencing isn’t simply exhaustion—it’s the distress of being unable to practice medicine in the way we believe we should? In this talk, we’ll explore moral injury, the collision between our values and the systems in which we practice, and what it takes to reclaim meaning and agency.
