Enhancing Humanism in Medicine Series - Cohort 2, 2022


Join for one or all four sessions in the Enhancing Humanism in Medicine Series.

Registration: Free

There is no charge to participate in the sessions, but pre-registration is required. 

This program is targeted toward all clinicians who would like to look more deeply into the topics about how to better care for one's self as a clinician and the impact of that on patients, learners, and the practice of medicine.

This one-time per month series offers a variety of topics over the course of one year, which will be delivered in an experiential way. All of the topics will include a research component along with a way to practice what is being learned in the session.

    • Identify what creates stress in the workplace.

    • Discuss what brings joy in practice

  • Session 2 | What Brought You to Medicine | September 13th from 7:30 - 8:30 am

    Following participation in this course, participants should be able to:

    • Identify what brought you to medicine

    • Describe the intention behind the work that you do

  • Session 3 | Uncertainty in Medicine | October 11th from 7:30 - 8:30 am

    Following participation in this course, participants should be able to:

    • Explore the improvisational nature of the medical encounter

  • Session 4 | When Things Go Wrong | November 8th from 7:30 - 8:30 am

    Following participation in this course, participants should be able to:

    • Distinguish between bad outcomes that come from good care and those that stem from errors

    • Describe the psychological and clinical impact of unexamined reactions to errors

Continuing Education Credit

Each webinar is 1.00 hour. A maximum of 12.00 hours is available over the course of the 12 sessions.
